Stuffed Animal Toy Tree Faq’s

Charles asks…

Why does My 8 month old Pit chew on EVERYTHING?

I mean EVERYTHING she’s got all the toys and stuffed animals to chew on but she’s chewed up 3 extention cords, christmas lights, trees, lounge chairs..and the list goes on and on…do you think she’ll stop once we fix her?

I’m pretty sure your dog is still going through his/her tooting procces, this hurts allot and chewing things is the only way she can treat the pain so just buy her a good chew toy and teach her that’s the only thing she’s allowed to eat. The best chew toy are the white hard ones, they come in diffirent shape and sizes and as the dog chews on it his/her saliva will loosen it up so she can eat it. Her gums might bleed but this is how the toy works, it cleans and strenghtens her tooth & gums you’ll notice this because after a couple of times of chewing on it her gums will stop bleeding. Note that you’ll have to buy a new one once in a while because she will completelly eat it after a while. ( I have to buy 30 every month, my dogo argentino has teeth of steel ( LOL ) and eats the huge bone shaped ones in less then 15 min!!

You can get them at any pet-shop but I don’t know the name anymore sorry, but you should find them with the description I gave you!!

William asks…

How do you tell a child NO about a certain toy they want for Christmas?

Our 8 yr. old has been telling me he wants Furreal Friends “Biscuit” My loving pup for Christmas. I had no clue who Biscuit was until last night when we took our kids to Toys “R” Us to look around and give us some ideas on what they would like for christmas. Biscuit is a large stuffed animal puppy that responds to your voice with motion and puppy sounds. He cost $179.99 and is on sale for $159.99 I think that is outrageous for a stuffed animal!!!!!!! Besides that we are on a limited budget like everyone else these days with the economy. We are planning on spending $300.00 on each of our kids. I want our son to enjoy Christmas without being disappointed but how can I help him realize the value of a dollar (our older child understands the value of a dollar but our younger son thinks money grows on trees!) the fact that biscuit is one of those toys that he probably won’t play with enough to spend that kind of money on? I tried showing him other things like a PSP or Starwars toys and Indiana Jones toys because he plays with those kinds of toys alot. Any tips and ideas would be appreciated. Thank you!

I have always told my kids that Santa brings what he thinks you will like, not what you ask for. I tell them to make a list, and then wait to see what they get. Also, I have found that it helps if you go to Amazon and read the reviews on the toys. My son wants the Nascar Speedway in the worst way (he is 6 and still believes). I went on Amazon and read the reviews which say that it is a piece of junk. I read the reviews with my son so that he could see for himself that it doesn’t “work”. Now he talks about how no one should get that piece of junk! Also, my kids always change their minds 100 times before Christmas. Buy him what you think he will enjoy the most and he will be so happy come Christmas that he won’t miss “Biscuit”. Then if he does mention it, tell him that Santa must not have had any more.

Ken asks…

Do female dogs have a NEED to have a puppy?

We have a 3 year old JRT…over the weekend someone left a small stuffed animal outside.
Our dog Ellie has claimed the toy- but she isn’t playing with it…instead she has made a ‘nest’ of sorts way in the corner of our yard. Ellie is sitting on top of the stuffed toy ALL DAY. She has left it’s side for only a few seconds at a time…only to run back to it. She shakes and barks/ growls if anyone/ anything comes near her. (There are squirrels in our trees that seem to be taunting her and she is shaking non stop!). She has even brought food to the ‘baby’. She is licking the ‘baby’ and protecting it as it were her own.
YES- she has toys- there is no lack of toys in our home!…We figured she was going to tear it up and we’d be picking up Care Bear parts for weeks…but just the opposite.
So my question : Can a dog have a NEED to mother, to have a pup? I

am terrified to go near her right now, and the kids- they think it looks so cute- I bumped something near where she is hiding (on accident) and she attacked!
If we take the toy away- will she go back to her happy bouncy self- and not attack my kids if they go near her ‘nest’….or do we just leave her be? What do we do?
okay- so it seems most of you say- take the toy, throw it away & spay….my husband had to coax her inside (shes an outside dog ans normally runs in when the door opens…but it took a bribe today)…I put the toy in the trash. She is frantic looking for it, digging….I am not sure we want to spay her as we have talked about finding her a mate at some point…but thanks so much for the advice. It is amazing that I could not find this info by looking, and I looked!

TS Staff Answers:

No, female dogs do not need to have puppies and this definitely isn’t cute! This isn’t good for your dog and it’s dangerous for you and your kids. If your dog hasn’t been spayed yet, she needs to be. This is what b1tches do when they’re going through false pregnancies, which are hard on their bodies and something they usually continue doing after their heat cycles once they start.

She needs to be spayed first of all, then she needs some obedience training so you get some control of her. If you leave her be, she’s going to bite someone.
