Stuffed Toys For Dogs Faq’s

Sharon asks…
Can I put toys in my dogs crate when flying in an airplane?
One time they threw my dogs stuffed toy away because it could have had something stuffed in it or something. I was wondering if anyone knows what the rules are for that, like would a rope toy or ball be okay?
We fly Alaska Airlines and it is a large breed dog so it is going under the plane.
alright thanks its just he will be in the crate for a long time and I thought he might be bored…then I remembered I have some sedatives from the vet hhah so he will be fine.

Linda asks…
Why do budgies like to rub their bottoms onto stuffed toys?
My brother gave our budgies a littled stuffed dog for Christmas that is a little bigger than them. One of my budgies likes to peck and rub its bottom onto it, and I can see his tail moving rapidly. What is it trying to do with it???
theyre both males by the way.
TS Staff answers:
I had a budgie that did that. Its masturbating.

Susan asks…
My 4 yr old unspeyed yorkie x refuses to leave a stuffed toy dog. Carries it & sleeps with it. What to do? ?
My yorkie x has taken to staying in her bed with the stuffed dog for most of the day, except for walks. She even wants to take it with her when she goes out, and refuses to leave it! She’s 4 years old and I think she must be broody. Has anyone got advice as to handlling this situation – will she get over it naturally, should I have her speyed etc.? Very many thanks
TS Staff answers:
Sounds as if she is having a false pregnancy. The only way to stop these occurring is to have her spayed – advisable at her age anyway to prevent her from contracting a life threatening uterine infection.
